The story is that originally this window had a picture of Jesus in it, but the window was broken (perhaps by a vandal?).  Then the Jewish Star of David was put in its place.  For many years, the word “Shaalom” (meaning “peace”) was in the middle of the star.  In the past year or two, the cross was put in.  It makes me think of how the roots of Christianity are in Judaism.  The bible verse that came to my mind for this window was Romans 1:16:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes:  first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

Dedications:

Since this window is directly behind the baptismal in the sanctuary, the dedications are on the other side, which can be viewed in the chapel.
